SEARED FILET MIGNON WITH SHALLOT PEPPERCORN CREAM SAUCE 🍷✨

Ingredients:

  • 2 filet mignon steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon crushed black peppercorns

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Steaks:
    Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the Steaks:
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your preferred doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest.
  3. Prepare the Shallot Peppercorn Cream Sauce:
    In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the chopped shallots and sauté until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Pour in the brandy and cook until it reduces by half. Stir in the heavy cream and crushed peppercorns, and let the sauce simmer until it thickens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Serve:
