Ingredients:
- 2 filet mignon steaks
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon crushed black peppercorns
Instructions:
- Prepare the Steaks:
Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper. - Sear the Steaks:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time according to your preferred doneness. Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest. - Prepare the Shallot Peppercorn Cream Sauce:
